An endodontist is a dentist who specializes in treating the inside of the tooth, especially the pulp and root canals.
They commonly treat:
- Tooth infections
- Severe toothaches
- Damaged or inflamed tooth pulp
- Dental abscesses
- Injuries to teeth
- Root canals and difficult root-canal cases
An endodontist completes additional specialized training after dental school.
